William A. Baker, Sr. was born “Nelson” in Washington, D.C. William moved to Hollywood in
1996 after getting a job as a non-union extra on “Jingle All The Way”. William also
created/wrote/produced and directed his own local cable access show “Lauf Wit Me” that was
taken into development by Fox/John Davis. After becoming a SAG/AFTRA member, William
was cast as a principal in a regional “Foster Farms” commercial, a national “Block Buster”
commercial, as well as other film/TV projects. He had an opportunity to shadow Stephen
Spielberg on Jurassic Park, Joel Schumacher on Batman & Robin(while playing a friend of
Batman George Clooney at the observatory), David Lynch on a Swedish Commercial, and
Antoine Fuqua on “Replacement Killers”.
After observing some of the best directors in Hollywood, completing several of his own
film/television scripts, and creating reality shows, William started his own production company
“King Of The Capital Productions, Inc. and 3 years later raised $1.5MM started a second
production/distribution company “Exorcism The Movie, LLC”. William shot his first 35mm full
length feature film “Exorcism”. William wore many hats as the writer/director/producer/casting
director/actor. Exorcism had an 18 day shooting schedule and was completed in 17 days with
William as a First Time Director. Exorcism, an Educational Spiritual Warfare Film was one of
the 250+ films that met all qualifications for the 2004 Academy Awards, however William’s first
film project was “mistakenly” left off of the voting ballot. William wrote, directed, produced and
filmed his television pilot (Models Around The World) at Universal Studios City Walk in 2008
which was sunk in the waters by the 2008 financial crash. William is still an active member of
DGA/WGA, and soon to be PGA. William intellectual property library consists of 70 + film
projects, reality, and series television shows for future productions.
