Mariya Ortynska is a Founder and Managing Partner of IPSTYLE, Patent and Trademark Attorney, Attorney-at-Law. She has wide-ranging expertise in consulting clients on strategies of intellectual property protection and management. She acts both for domestic and foreign clients, representing them at courts and before other authorities. Mariya’s practice also includes complex anti-counterfeit matters, including disputes and pre-trial conflict resolution.

A specialist in IP law since 2007, Mariya is a renowned IP expert in the professional community. Mariya is a co-founder of the National Association of Patent Attorneys of Ukraine (NAPA) and takes an active role in the activities of the association. Official author of INTA Trade Dress Guide and INTA Country Guide on Trademarks for IP experts, author of numerous articles concerning IP protection in Ukraine.

In 2021 Mariya was appointed to the International Trademark Association (INTA) Brands and Innovation Committee for the 2022–2023 term. This year Mariya also joined the International
Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM). Also, she is a Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Bar Association Committee on Intellectual Property Law for the 2020–2022 term.

Mariya eagerly shares her experience with students as a lecturer, speaks at peer-to-peer educational events, as well as holds workshops, seminars, and participates in forums and conferences.
