Manuel Giesen studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, focusing on automotive engineering, combustion engines and aerodynamics. He graduated in 2002 with a thesis on recycling and remanufacturing brake components.

Subsequently, Manuel Giesen was working in the automotive business for more than a decade, primary as an engineer and later on as a project manager and patent professional, spending six years in the patent department of a global leading automotive supplier. His focus was on the development of fuel injection systems and exhaust gas treatment.

Manuel Giesen joined Gulde & Partner in 2015.
