Faiz Rahman is IP Head & Assoc Vice President of Infosys Ltd, a global software services company headquartered in India. He has around 19 years’ experience in handling a variety of IP issues. Prior to joining Infosys, he has also worked for another large IT company, IP Services company & also for IP Office of Government of India. He currently manages patent & trademark portfolio of Infosys along with open-source compliance, M&A due diligence & IP reviews of contracts. His areas of expertise include systematic creation and management of IP portfolio, IP licensing and risk mitigation. Faiz also manages IP litigations and disputes across major jurisdictions and also negotiates IP licensing deals, partnership agreements etc. He has rolled out organization wide patent and open-source risk mitigation processes. His domain of interest is primarily innovation related to software technologies and strategies for risk mitigation. He advises senior management and business groups on issues related to patents, copyright, trademarks etc.
