Justyna Ożegalska-Trybalska is Associate Professor (doctor habilitatus) at the Intellectual
Property Law Chair of the Jagiellonian University, where she teaches and researchers in the
field of patent law, trademark law and new technologies law. As a visiting scholar she
conducted research at the Columbia University School of Law in New York (2003) and the
Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich (2017). She is an arbitrator at
the Domain Name Court at the Polish Chamber of Informatics and Telecommunication and
WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre and a coordinator of the Joint Master’s Degree
Programme in Intellectual Property and New Technologies organized by Jagiellonian
University, WIPO and the Polish Patent Office and senior expert in international IP projects.
Justyna Ożegalska-Trybalska is an author of over 60 national and foreign publications,
including two monographs Limitations of patent protection and patent infringement (Wolters
Kluwer, 2019); Domain Name – legal issues (Zakamycze, 2003). As co-author, she
contributed to Domain Name Law and Practice. An International Handbook (ed. T. Bettinger,
A. Waddel, Oxford University Press, 2015), Patent Law (ed. M. du Vall, E. Traple, Wolters
Kluwer, 2017), Industrial Property Law System (ed. R. Skubisz, vol. 14A, 2017 and vol. 14C,
CH Beck, 2018). She has 20 year experience in providing specialised IP training for patent
attorneys, judges and legal advisers.
