Begüm Erktuk is a lawyer registered in the Istanbul Bar Association since 2011 and a trademark attorney registered in the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office since 2013, with over 11 years of professional experience and solid national and international law background in particularly IP/IT Law (blockchain, IoT, M2M, AI, etc.), data protection and cyber security law, competition law, e-commerce law, corporate law, and M&A.

Begüm is experienced in providing services on strategy and public policies; working with the leading American, European, Canadian and Asian companies, cooperating with the World’s top legal firms, providing training courses, leading IP/IT, and Data Privacy focused gap analysis, business modeling & design, full scope compliance projects for local and multinational companies performing in various sectors.

Begüm worked as a research assistant at Cyprus International University, Faculty of Law, Commercial Law Department, as a lawyer in local and international law firms in Belgium, Russia, and Turkey, and now works as a legal manager at Sabancı Holding. Begüm holds a Master of Law (LLM) from Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) University on the topic of International, European and French Business Law, and continues to her Ph.D. thesis on competition law at Istanbul Kultur University.
